Sarah Loves: Winter 2025

As the weather cools and we start leaning into the cosy season, I’ve found myself swapping iced coffees for warm mugs of tea, pulling out the layers, and indulging in a few small comforts that are making this winter feel extra lovely.

I’ve always loved discovering things that bring a little joy to everyday life, whether it’s a new favourite tea, a local café, or something that makes slow weekends at home even better. Here’s what I’m loving lately, and maybe something here will brighten your winter too.

Melbourne Breakfast Tea – T2

Swapping my chai obsession for something a little more grown-up? Maybe!
It’s official, I’ve entered my Melbourne Breakfast era. This tea is like a hug in a cup…smooth, slightly sweet, with a hint of vanilla. I used to be obsessed with sticky chai, but lately, I’ve been craving something simpler, calmer, and a little more classic. Is this what growing up tastes like? Either way, I’m hooked, and I have to have my two cups every day!

Sweet Little Things Hot Water Bottle

I couldn’t not include this ridiculously cute penguin hot water bottle. Did I buy it for my son? Yes. Do I steal it from him to use it myself? Also Yes. The dog loves to snuggle with it too so we may just have to get one for everyone!

It’s just so adorable, and makes winter nights feel a little more cheerful.

The Perfect Classic Ugg Boot

I finally replaced my beloved old UGGs, and these were the perfect find. They’re Australian-made, incredibly warm, and feel like walking on clouds. If you’re looking for a winter staple that you’ll wear every day (yes, even to the letterbox), these UGGs are worth the upgrade.

Southern Highlands Day Trip – Harry’s on Green Lane

It was my birthday last week, and I wanted a day that felt special, relaxed, and meaningful, so we headed to the Southern Highlands, a place we have been going to for many many years, and is really special it our family.
Bowral is one of those places that just instantly slows you down. We had lunch at Harry’s on Green Lane (which I highly recommend, but make sure you book ahead!), followed by a slow wander through antique stores and boutiques. The perfect mix of good food, beautiful surrounds, and unhurried moments with the family.

Gumnut Patisserie – Lemon Tart Heaven

No visit to Bowral is complete without a stop at Gumnut Patisserie. The line is always out the door (and for good reason) Their lemon tart is an actual dream (zesty, creamy, perfect), and the almond croissants never make it home uneaten. If you’re planning a trip, this is your non-negotiable.

I hope this little list brings you some inspiration for the weeks ahead; whether you’re looking to cosy up at home, try something new, or plan a day out. Let me know if you try any of these (or if you’ve got a winter favourite I need to know about!). Whether you’re curled up with tea or out on an adventure, there’s magic in these ordinary moments.

If you’re planning a cosy family photoshoot this winter, get in touch…I’d love to create something beautiful for you. Let’s capture these moments together!

With love,
Sarah x

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT SARAH

As a lover of art, design, and the timeless craft of photography, I find my true bliss with a camera in hand, capturing moments that transcend the ordinary.

From a young age, I eagerly borrowed my mother's Kodak cameras. Each click of the shutter ignited a profound curiosity within me, and couldn't wait to see what was revealed on the developed film.
I've always been fascinated by the power of photography to capture raw emotion and preserve cherished memories, and how those humble photographs will tell our stories for generations to come.
