Frequently asked questions
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY MATERNITY SESSION?
I recommend maternity sessions between 28-34 weeks. Session dates typically fill out 2-3 months in advance so I recommend booking well in advance.
where does the session take place?
Maternity, newborn and babies take place in our natural light studio in Barden Ridge, and maternity & family sessions are available outdoors within the Sutherland Shire and surrounds.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
I provide styling advice for the whole family, as well as a beautifully curated studio wardrobe, to take out all the stress of planning what to wear for your session.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Once you reach your second trimester, it's the perfect time to schedule your newborn photos.
Newborns are typically photographed around 1 week of age.
how long does a session go for?
Maternity and baby sessions typically go for up to 1 hour, family sessions around 1.5 hours, and newborns sessions for 2-3 hours, however I don't set a time limit for your session, and will take the lead from your baby/child on the day.
DO YOU OFFER DIGITAL FILES?
Absolutely! I understand how important it is to have digital copies of your family's precious moments, which is why I offer a range of custom artwork, as well as digital images.
WHAT IS THE BEST AGE FOR A BABY SESSION?
Baby sessions are best photographed once baby can sit independently, but is not yet crawling. This is typically around 7-10 months of age, but may be a little later.
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
My style is simple and minimalist, with the focus on your child and family. I aim for authentic and organic moments within my photographs, and avoid props and other distracting elements.
